If you take the time to read and answer this I appreciate it. I saw the post from Chav last night on the email from Oleg. I took it as good news. It left me with the impression that support for PF/FB will continue for awhile, albeit on a limited basis as they need to focus the bulk of their resources on BOB. From carefully reading what Oleg said I inferred that there are more maps coming (I assume PTO) and some more promised planes, as well as limited continued support for awhile.

I have been into this sim since the original FB, and to be honest PF is what I have hoped for all along. It has frustrated me in its current state because it was so rushed, but I have been going on faith that Oleg would finish it.

I also remember not too long ago where you jumped into a thread and assured all the whiners that you had inside info from people in the know and that there were some good things on the horizon for PF. I took that to heart, because I figured you would not have said it if it weren't true. That post from you gave me alot of assurance that those of us who are hard core PTO buffs would not be disappointed, and I have read all the complaining and whining posts as we have waited for the add-on/patch and tried to remain optimistic.

So then I get onto the forum tonight and see the thread from Tibbetts where he sees it as PF now being dead, etc, etc. I want your assessment of this. As a big PTO fan I want PF to be as good as it can be. I have never expected support to go on forever, but hell, we knew that from the beginning. But I also don't see where some of the people in that 4 page or so thread came up with some of the conclusions that they came up with. As I have already said, I am a huge PTO fan and what I got from the Chav email seemed okay.

Don't let my low post count fool you... I have been around for awhile and I know pretty well how things work around here, but I want your take on the whole add-on/patch thing. Is there alot of unnecessary whining and speculation? I am not asking you to betray anyone's confidence because you're not the type to do that.

Thanks for your time.

Hi sledge,

I`ll make it short. PF is not dying by all means and there are things that will happen to it in the nearest future, positive things. But... i`ll let Oleg or luthier talk about it. Stand by for update.

P.S. post count doesn`t mean anything to me mate, personality does http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for the response crazyivan http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif It is reassuring to hear PF news from you, and we'd like to hear from Oleg and/or Luthier about the future of PF.

Even if they can only leave hints as to what the future brings for PF. We'll enjoy the surprises they have in store for us http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

He probably read the link on how to contact 1C and just did it.. Oleg will answer anyone... just not every yahoo with a complaint on these forums..... He answered me.... several times...

Hey sledge.. that is textbook..... a great post man... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

While post count may not count for much.. registration dates do IMO and yours says a mouthfull.. that and your sensible post combined scream volumes.

Let it be Oleg... We'll need sodium pentothal to make Ilya talk! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Thanks, Ivan. BTW, I think it's been good this e-mail to be published: you'll see that people in the end prefer news to waiting for surprises. This should calm down many impatient ones. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Of course, the never-happy people won't be happy anyway, but I think that's their job or something... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I guess it's like having the most obvious solution right in front of you and completely ignoring it. I've been asking about new ships in ORR for months now with not a hint of an official reply. I saw CHAV_, a guy who has apparently been here for a very short while, get a reply by directly e-mailing Oleg and thought "what the heck, I'll give it a try". I got a reply from Oleg with-in half an hour. It WAS NOT the reply I was hoping for but it was great that Oleg took the time to tell me himself. Just wish I had thought of this months ago when there was still a chance that more ships could be added.

The lack of ships in PF is a glaring deficiency.

Regards, Goshikisen.
