To any of you lucky b*strds who have the game is it running either poorly or brilliantly? could u let us know? preferably test it where there are a few things happening, explosions, lots of ships etc, then tell us your specs.

PS. if you have an outrageously high end machine, dont bother!!

Should run pretty good on my system, even though it is 2+ years old (Intel P4 2.4Ghz). I have found a cool way to "extend" my hardware by creating an optimized gaming platform, without interrupting my day-to-day applications (non-games). I use a product from software pursuits, www.bootback.com, (http://www.bootback.com,) called BootBack. Traditionally, it looks to be a disaster recovery product, but it does have the ability to have multiple XP or 2000 OS builds w/o the need to re-partition. I setup a optimized gaming build using the following article http://leapfrogsoftware.com/support_info/application_notes/pdfs/AppNote-OptimizedGamingBuild.pdf (appears to be the same technology). The best is a I mentioned, I still maintain my day-to-day application build to check email, use MS Office, etc.

btw: For those of you with Win95/98(Does anybody really still use these anyway?), you are out of luck, according to the docs you must have 2000/XP.
