his sig troubles me from an online point of view. if that's how the online players spawn, we could be screwed. all it will take is some knob at the front of the pack to go AFK and trap the rest of us on the back of the carrier.

xTHRUDx -

He would have to be a real big "knob" to do that... yep, thats a real "knob job" if you ask me.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

Given the shape of the island and the height of the flight deck it looks like an Akagi.

i don't understand your response.

knob, as in "dumb as a door knob"
i hope you didn't take my use ofthe word "knob" as a mistake of the word "newbie" or "noob"

someone please tell me that the dev's have thought of this potential carrier spawn issue of one guy blocking the others in

Not to mention what would happen to you if someone dropped a bomb or decided to vulch the bunce of you on the deck lol.
But I guess he would have to get through all that flak first.

The decks are quite wide, it would take at least two guys to stand wingtip to wingtip to block aircraft behind then from taking off

Besides you can always complain to the host and have them kicked. Or you can just ram the bastards, expode them and respawn. Anyway, how often do people go AFK upon respawning?

(P.S. just goes to show people on these boards will find something to worry about in anything http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )

some servers (dedicated) have an idle kick, sitting on the tarmac is a way around this.

Yes I did, and I was very impressed. That's why I'm eager to see what the dev's do for the Yorktowns and other carriers.

hopefully the next update will include the Yorktown or maybe we'll get a Japanese carrier..

even if it is that new "class" of update -

THE SIG-UPDATE Luthier style

Any preview will be OK with me. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Of the 3 Yorktown class carriers, the CV6 Enterprise saw the most action. In fact, Enterprise was the only one in the PTO at the time Pearl was bombed. CV5 Yorktown and CV8 Hornet were both in the Atlantic at the time. AS was the CV7 Wasp.

Yes, the flight deck looks like an Akagi, but the Zeros white fusolage band is the marking of Shokaku... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
