I don't know about guides - but "The Spitfire Story" by Alfred Price is a "coffee table"-sized hardback which covers the marque in excellent detail. It has a very approving Preface by Reginald Mitchell's son and certainly does justice to his remarkable creation.

The book covers the Spit from its inception up until its retirement from the worlds' air forces, with a good section on their use and deployment on the Russian Front.

A brilliant read...plenty of good photo's.....line drawings.....pilots' anecdotes....performance tables.....test results.......construction methods....all you need http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nope. but the basic rules are these,

Don't get caught low,

Always attack from level or above, preferably the latter

If any Jerry gets on your date, Then Chase your tail as hard as ya can, and you'll probably wind up behind him.
