Well.. I played the first for a bit, but never managed to finish it. So seeing as the game is looming upon us, and is getting great reviews i was wondering if i will still be able to understand what is going on in the second without having played much of the first?

Thanks in advance http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

it depends how much you plan on following the story, the Ezio story will be new and be understandable. but the Desmond plot line starts were AC1 left off.

There wasn't many Desmond bits in the few hours i played AC, and everytime the game went back to him i always jumped straight back into the Altair storyline as quickly as i could (i didn't do much snooping, only what the game required for me to move on).

Maybe i'll do the same this time. It seems a shame that they addressed all the issues of the first game, yet possibly alienated a lot of potential buyers because of the storyline.

Maybe it will have no bearing, I guess only time will tell.

Thanks for the help http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

well the Desmond plot line is going to be the main thing over all 3 games (they said it would be a trilogy) so it's worth actually keeping track of it.

There is a reminder at the beginning of the game, that will tell the story from AC 1.

If you don't care for the story, why are you playing it? <.<

There is an opening movie "previously on" that will sum up the main story plot, so yes you'll be able to understand and enjoy the game.

If you want to go further and learn the deep details on Altair's story I would say that it's a good call to play that game, and/or the PSP Altair Chronicle version.

But don't worry we get sure that everyone can enjoy our game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Because i DO care about the story.

With ACII They've addressed alot of the issues i had with the first that stopped me from finishing it (HINT: It wasn't the story). So i wanted to know if i could still understand what is going on...
