View Full Version : N52 at ID0 and SAITEK at ID1

I've recently bought Forgotten Battles and AEP Gold Pack along with IL2 Ultimate Flight Collection. I've gotten them merged OK and patched to 4.04m.

I'm one of those players that uses both a NOSTROMO N52 and SAITEK CYBORG EVO. I've read all the FAQs about controller problems but none seem to cover this problem.

When the N52 is plugged in the SAITEK is not functional. If I unplug the N52 and restart the game the SAITEK becomes functional.

Please note the N52 is not a stick, it's a keypad.

Here's the related content of my conf.ini file. It seems to have found the second controller (1X1) and I copied the 1X data to the 1X1 lines manually.

1RZ1=0 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 0

Initially I think the ID# is the issue. I've seen the same problem with BF2 in the past. But perhaps due to an earlier patch I have no issues using the N52 and SAITEK together in BF2 now.

In earlier BF2 I had to use a batch file to disable the N52 and let BF2 set the SAITEK as first ID and XP added the N52 as the second ID.

Please tell me I don't need to do this with BF+AEP+PF!!

I have read that others are successfully using these two controllers together. They must have run up against this with XP and successfully resolved it.

Please help.

Hi, Welcome!

Me thinks you'll have to go to the Controls screen, and just re-assign the HOTAS controls (all the way down there) and some buttons.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v668/fooltrottel/Hotas.jpg

That should do the trick, as long as them ID's do not change once more!
Read: Tully's guide on sticks (http://www.airwarfare.com/tech/sticks.htm), there's a section called 'I added a second controller and...'

If in need of changing sensitivities... take a look at my sig... might be something of help there!

Have Fun!

Like FoolTrottel says..go to the control section and scroll down to the Hotas control part and FB will recognise up to 4 controllers.

Go to any control and click on the area to the right of the action you want to control and a box will light up. Then press the button or move the control that you want to do that action. Its just that simple.

The only problem is in the input section of the game only adjust the first controller that is assigned by XP. Not sure how to change that with XP. You can however adjust the individual input in the config ini.

Added a new d/l link in the above thread for those of you who hate Rapidshare. The new link is a direct d/l.

Cheers, MP.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
