I can do very well in the TB-3, but its hard to manage bombsite controls while flying the plane from the front cabin . . . . The level autopilot isn't very reliable so I find myself left-handing the stick while pecking out buttons on the keyboard and then I have to readjust everything . . .

When I manage to get the site and plane set up right I can drop those giant bombs down a chimny.

i use level stabilzer, and use the rudder trim to line up on target

in a Heinkel I hit the chimney, in a betty I hit the house, in the B25 the garden and in the TB3 I hit... Earht?? lol

well, Im best in Heinkel... but cathing in on the Betty thoe.

have u guys ever tried using trim instead of the level stabilizer it works much better http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I usually do my levbombing in the Heinkel.
Always use the level stabiliser, then I adjust course with rudder trim (on slider http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ).
I put the exact altitude into bombsight, and the approximate TAS, then I adjust TAS settings until crosshair follow the ground nicely, switching bombsight-auto on-off to track target.
One thing I noted: On winter maps the TAS settings should be considerably lower than chart say.
Oh and I usually bomb from 3K, 300 km/h IAS.

I can always hit my target. The key to bombing precise in aircraft like the B-25, He-111 and the Betty are:

1: map rudder trim on a slider.
2: Level stabilizer engaged in bomb run, use rudder trim to line up the target in the azimuth (works beautifull!!!)
3: Put in altitude and adjust TAS so, that the target remains stationary Faster TAS makes your sight run short and slower TAS makes your site drift past the target.

My typical bombrun (altitudes up to 13.000feet or 4000m) starts with engaging the level stabilizer approx 5 to 10 min before target. I set the sight to the correct altitude and the approx correct TAS and I turn the sight up to about 75 degrees. When I see the target, I turn the rudder trim slider to line it up correctly. Once lined up and in the sight's cross, I engage the sight automation. I adjust TAS speed to let the cross remain stationary on the target. all that remains is to sit and wait quietly for the bombs to fall. Level autopilot together with rudder trim on a slider works wonderfully!

4x1000kg with 10sec fuse on a TB-3, screaming in on the target at 10 meters is the ultimate rush though...
