Glad to hear that.. last time when I was flying one of the "BoB" scenarios, Hurricanes get hammered badly by E-4s. And those were Mk.IIb's.

IMO Emil have slight edge over Hurricane, but it all get down onto pilot skill after all..

When you guys finish, please post results, just.. it would be interesting to see.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

If I got faster connection I may actually consider joining the game, but it's real pain on 56k with 1GhZ Celeron.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I hope it's better than the lame Battle of Britain server with cockpit off and Spit Vb's and 109G's...

THe server has unfortunatly closed now. But It was just me and him in there. and it was pretty even. He knew how to fly a 109 against a hurri, and I know how to fly the hurri, so we had some good dogfights. He said he'd put the server back up later on, when hopefully more were interested.

the Emil does have a slight advantage over the hurri, as it did back in 1940, but it's not invincible, and can be defeated, even though most don't have as much faith in the hurricane as i do.

Like noshens said- just tell us the server name, version supported, time the server will be up and I'll try to be there for you all to shoot me out of the sky. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hurricane Mark I we have apparently has a smaller less HP engine than the typical Mark I used during the Battle of Britain. Not sure if thats true but thats what I hear.

So it would be a tough fight...more of a Battle of France fight...except I would think that the Emil they were using was also an earlier version. I rarely get to try the Emil side of the battle but I would think things were slanted that way. A Spitfire Mark I would be a joy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

before 3.x the Emil was way way waaaay better than the Mk1 hurricane

no question

now in PF its been made more "heavy"

but id still say the MkIIb should be up against the Emils
& yes , all hurricanes in FB/PF are 950 Hp russian power

Hurricanes actually had 1050 Hp , same as the Mk1 Spitfire

the mk1 is finnish spec, with a strange overheat, or did have

rest are russian spec i think

The main problem for the HUrri's are a lack of speed, lack of controlability in a dive and ineffective weapons (especially in DF servers).

On the plus side are its very good turning circle, good roll response, general ease of handling and the fact that it (at least in 2.04 still, not sure about PF) hangs on its nose like a puppet on a string.

Its a good match up. A sensible 109 driver should have NO problems coming out on top. I used to fly both Hurri and 109 in 2.04 servers and would say that it was much less of a challenge to come out on top with a 109 than with a HUrri. Particularly flying B'n'Z or E tactics. I usually felt untouchable flying a 109E. Made getting kills in the Hurri feel that bit better, when you realise how outclassed you were.
