Can anyone tell me if when using drop tanks is it necessary/possible to sellect them as the fuel supply or does the program automatically sellect them until such time as they are ejected when the onboard tanks take over? Thanks.

I think they are automatically selected... I know this is the case with the Spitfires...

Think the game uses the tanks until either they are empty or dropped. u cant switch.

still its useful in for example the p51, where u can use 25% fuel and tanks...

I wouldn't have that problem since I fly the the P-38 and the pylons for the drop tanks are always there regardless of loadout.

Drop tanks would practically be useless in FB if main a/c tank is used first. Because user can't switch between tanks (like in CFS 2 for example).

They're also a necessity on the Messerschmidt BF-109's. Boy those planes have such a poor range, even with drop tanks! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
