Thanks for the clarification. I always thought it said:

"Objects in the mirror already own you."

What does the "Headshake" option actually do? I've never tried turning it off...

I consider the "Headshake" off an arcade setting. Headshake is used to approximate the shaking the aircraft does when the guns are fired. It's especially rough in the IL-2M3 when you fire the cannon. With it off there's no 'vibration' and to my way of thinkng takes away some of the immersion factor.
In real life the human eye and brain can compenstate for some vibration (such as running) but that can't be easily translated to a computer simulation/game.
