Well I take it stands for Battle of Britain, but will it be the 4th installment in the FB series or the next generation of Maddox's games?
I am not a veteran on this scene and it shows http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It'll be a new game - no idea when it'll be released though - my guess it 2006!

some guy from Ubi told me this:
1C Maddox make amazing flight simulator games and we're very happy with the company, and we will be working with them for some time in future games - look for Battle of Britain next year.

this is only part of the e-mail, the rest is kinda unimportant.

Ah, but will 1C want to work with UBI after the 'Betty on the box' and *cough* Grumman *cough* affair?

Quite simply, it is not an IL-2 installment.

Some of the features BoB promises include: higher graphics quality; more detailed 3D models including internal parts; more precise flight and damage model; extremely detailed ground objects; and better physics engine. One noticeable difference in focus between BoB and IL-2 is that BoB will only have a few flyables but each in greater detail.

I'm sure that BoB will build on lessons learned by the IL-2 series. Recently there was word that the AI routines will be greatly simplified when aircraft are out of view, thereby freeing up CPU resources and actually allowing more aircraft all over the map. Also, to save effort it appears that many ground objects will come from a Wartime Command, an RTS sim in parallel development.

Isn't marketing, packaging & manufacturing the publisher's responsibility...
