Hehe. Seems we all aren't opting for the BS.

01-21-2004, 09:56 PM
Flyable bombers would be great, so either choices 3 or 4 would be great. The small theater addon might be nice depending on the theater and the new a/c.

My vote:

Bomber pack '42-'43 - priceless

Agnus Dei, Qui Tollis peccata mundi, Miserere nobis. Dona nobis pacem

What about a choice for valuing what is coming out as $29(or whatever the current price is)? I've waited a long time for some of the planes that are coming...

01-21-2004, 11:29 PM
Having all current AI be flyable would really be worth your $29. But that's a lot of content, too much to ever be released in an addon.

01-21-2004, 11:42 PM
Doesn't seem to be much appeal for the "What if" packs. If I understand the current guessing, we could get a little more than the first option in the February addon. I'd settle for enough maps to cover the main Western Europe campaigns, the key a/c we've been listing (including the Spit Vb)and a flyable multi-engine allied bomber with gun positions.

Winning isn't everything;
It's the only thing!

01-22-2004, 12:07 AM
If there is significant improvement in the AI, that might convince me in and of itself. But the WWI planeset 10+ flyables 5+ flyable bombers would be a blast: nice tight dogfights.

01-22-2004, 12:19 AM
I would say flyable bombers, lots of them. And complex damage models for all the rest of the planes.

After seeing the things they do with the patches, like adding planes and making the game better I would purchase just about any addon for IL FB!

01-22-2004, 01:44 AM
The IAR 80/81.

A Spitfire Mk IX

Golf GTI Edition 2.0 16v

01-22-2004, 03:17 AM
$29. Is that what they are going to charge for the expansion pack? US? Wow.....that's like $100 Canadian http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

My choice is #4. Before the Spitfire or anything else.

It only funny 'til someone loses an eye.......oops

01-22-2004, 05:53 AM
I would pay $29.00 for a complex DM for the 190!

But a bomber pack would be my second choice.

Of course maps maps maps are the sim's best friend. I wish we had the whole world mapped out!

01-22-2004, 06:01 AM
To be honest loads of flyable planes don`t really grab me, but then again, without the choice they`d probably miss a plane I really like. And they have!

The Spitfire! The Hurri with no ordnance. The English are so hard done by. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Apart from that improve AI further.

your WW1 option is redundant

there is a WW1game coming out that will be WW1 plane dedicated

(well Bips at least)

it will have as high a level of detail , if not higher , than FB

being pre 1940's based it will be more focused than FB can be at simulating the WW1 era

it will be a MUST buy for combat flight sim fans

what is it ?

. Knights over Europe

None of the above, sorry:
1930's planes - Any theatre

Well worth the money. I already worked more than 400 hours too fly a Gladiator in the game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

01-22-2004, 06:26 AM
ohh & btw ....

i think that Oleg & his crew at 1C maddox games could create the Luft46 planes to a higher degree of accuracy than any other combat sim maker there is now .....

Just had a look. It is probably in alpha stage still, but I sure hope they dramatically improve those ground textures and detail. I guess I'm just picky, but if I'm moving that slowly in a plane I can think of no reason to have to look at that kind of ground. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I personally would like a korean war addon. It would be better than the Luftwaffe '46 addon, since it actually happened, and would also include some of the best prop aircraft ever built, along with very high speed dogfighting and bombing missions. However, it would have to be very big, a completely new game altogether.

01-22-2004, 09:10 AM
Add the Med and North Africa. We already have the planes.

01-22-2004, 10:39 AM
badsight you havent obviously tried knights over europe its none compairable to FBs engine, its not very good but definatly an improvements from dawn of aces and redbaron3d

IL-2 original P-39 vet soon to be P-63 vet.

I voted all AI flyable and it appears to winning the poll at 41% right now. Can't imagine though how they could possible model and code all the stations in the B-17.

No Vote from me, im pretty much happy with what is going to be in the ACE addon.

I`d pay for 10-15 flyable planes that are missing in this game.

01-22-2004, 06:11 PM
Less planes, more terrains. Though it sounds like modelling cliffs are tricky.

I've always thought it would be cool to have a dogfight in the Grand Canyon.

01-22-2004, 11:17 PM
I just really want a Spit, P38, and F4u Corsair

01-22-2004, 11:30 PM
Leadsplitter its a TOTAL different game

it has nothing to do with FB at all

its a WW1 dedicated sim , & its gunna be really accurate

like i said itll be a must buy for any flight combat fan

If I had my druthers, I would have rather have seen the series develop as follows. This does not include functionality patches to fix major bugs which should be free. Minor bugs could be squashed at their whim or leisure:

***First major addon pack***
All the AI planes become flyable, game enhancements, maps, missions and campaigns. I'm sure everyone in the world would have gone for this feature from the start. Definately worth the bucks if retail. This would provide plenty of bomber action as well. Also, this would have kept people happy for quite some time while other developments were in the works.

***Second major addon pack***
Missing or more obscure planes from the Eastern Front, maps, missions, campaigns, plus any game enhancements.

***Gold Edition***
Includes everything to date to lure new players into the lare of IL-2.

***Third major addon pack***
Western Front including new Luftwaffe, British, USA and some Italian aircraft, ground units, ships, maps, missions, campaigns and game enhancements. This makes quite a bit of sense do to the fact that the German aircraft are mostly in place already. Battle Of Britain included.

***Platinum edition***
Everything to date.

***Fourth major addon pack***
North Africa and Mediteranian theaters including, aircraft variants, new aircraft, maps, missions, campaigns and new ground units. British plane variants developed from the Western front addon pack. Aircraft addons would be mostly Italian now. New game enhancements.

***Diamond Edition***
Everything to date http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

***Final Episode as addon and/or standalone***
Pacific theater complete.

***The future***
Time for new game engine. This one is now worn out and aging. But, it now runs like mad racehorse on most PC's due to the technology in placehttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I would now venture back in time to WWI or maybe ahead to Korea and Vietnam.

***Distant Horizon***
Time to explore outer space a bit maybe...lolhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

1. More Maps
2. Graphical and Audio enhancements
3. Improved radio chatter (professional quality accented)
4. Spitfires

and definatly one of the best models haddock, Im just hoping for a all ai flyable patch most along with the new addon theater plane sets with a couple maps. I still want to enjoy the easternfront with making the ai flybles that have been missing along time, theres still alot of aircraft missing from the eastern front and i think i would keep flying fb longer then BOB which will only have a couple flyables even if its better graphics and has more realistic flight dynamics.

29 over 100,000 copies should be more then enough, of course only 29 isnt worth your hard work but you get alot more then that http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif to the consumer 4 completely new flyables is not alot, 3 ai with pits and different versions of planes already in the game with minor polys added isnt that much or equal ammount of work put into FB for 29 and ubi is making alot of loot off you guys im sure or they wouldnt do it.

Now having all ais being flyable i would pay 30-50 for without a doubt x 100,000+ it would be well worth 1c considering it.
