Anyone seen this before:
http://www.old.modelarstwo.org.pl/lotnicze/galeria/litewka/b-25j/28.html

I've heard about B-25J's w. 1 and 2 fixed .50's in the glass nose, but never one w. 4. How many rounds did they carry?

Very interesting link, but i'm currently mostly interested in B-25J's with:
- A glass nose
- Four fixed forward firing MG's in that glass nose

I know about:
Fixed nose B-25J's w. 8x.50's
Glass nose B-25J's w. 1-2x(3x if the trainable is included).50's in the glass nose

It was an early field modification, I have color photos of some B25's here somewhere's with that configuration. 3rd BG and 38th BG were the first to do this. Usually they painted over the glass panels in the field or replaced the glass with metal sheeting when installing the 4-6 .50's in the nose.

No idea how many rounds they'd carry.

wintergoose:

Are you talking about 12 forward firing guns in and around a glazed nose?

4 in the nose, 4 in the cheek blisters, 4 elsewhere?

I am speaking of B25-J with solid nose.
8 x 12,7 mm (0,5") in the nosepointing forward
4 x 12,7 mm (0,5") , 2 on each side pointing forward

Totaly of 18 0,5" MGs on the plain

I think they also could use their top turret as fixed forward firing, controlled(the trigger, not the turret of course)by the pilot.
That would give the gun nosed B-25J's a total of 14 forward firing .50's. Ouch!
