1940s plastic plane! The caption reads: "This 1940 shot shows assembly of the super-rare TIMM PT-160K
plastic plane. The aircraft was never put into actual production,
but incorporated "aero-molding" (bonding plastic to wood)
processes that were years ahead of their time."

I know the site well.

There are some (bordering on lots) of P-61 Black Widow pictures tucked in there too.
