They're saved to the root IL2 1946 (or whatever) directory, labelled 'grabxxx.tga'

IIRC they are saved to your game folder as a TGA file. Will appear as grab001 or similar format.

A quick heads-up on those files, if you don't rename them or move them after taking them, when you exit the game and restart, the file naming/numbering starts over and they will get overwritten when you take more screenshots.

And another small addition: don't make more than 10 (or 20 I forget the exact amount) screenshots otherwise the first ones get overwritten.

Download FRAPS or Irfanview. Both free. A lot less hassle. You can save pics wherever you like.

At AAA Mr.FC (FatCat of CWOS fame) has made a mod to cause the screenshots to be JPG format and are given a name by date/time so will not be overwritten http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

The GIMP (http://www.gimp.org) (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is like a free Photoshop, and can view all types of images. I recommend you take a look at it.
