View Full Version : Question: fuel % => flight time?

Is there a table summarizing the combat flight time (100% throttle) for various aircrafts with various fuel loads?

I don't want to take extra weight into battle, on the other hand, running out of fuel is unpleasant. So I hope such table exists somewhere, where I can see how much time a Bf-109 can stay in air with 100% load, and how much a FW-190 with same conditions.

I'll just give a bump for this one, as I'd like to know as well and don't want to do the testing myself.

Guess the figures would depend on what you are doing whilst at 100% throttle (climbing, diving, b+z, t+b etc. for some of which maybe you shouldn't be at constant 100%) and also on where you are and at what altitude etc.

However I can't see why a comparative table with fixed and therefore comparative conditions couldn't be done to give a rough rule of thumb. But sorry, I haven't seen one.

As long as the throttle is full and rpm constant at redline it wouldn't make any difference what the aircraft was doing. Heck, you could just do continous loops.

Actually, what you would be doing would affect your mileage but not the fuel burn rate (time).

LOL, thanks for the responses, I guess I have to do this table myself one day http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Maybe 1 aircraft at a time.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

could just take 100% fuel and not worry about it ever again http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

On a serious note, i usually take 75% no matter what plane or mission. I hate to crash land from fuel leaks when i get hit. And i get hit alot http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
