Hi guys,

Is there any way that the Japanese meatball which is shown when flying with markings on can be modded into something which doesn't resemble a splodge of day-glo orange paint, and ruins the otherwise excellent paint scheme of my Rufe?

Thanks in advance http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I recommend you download and install IL2 MAT and IL2 MAT Manager. You can find them here, along with all the documentation. This will give you exactly what you are looking for, if you take the time to install it right.

I think your answer, which was stated above, is to download IL2MAT..... That will give you options on how worn you want your meatballs. Or go to IL2Skins and download some new textures for your AI. The meatballs can be part of the paint job and on most skins the weathering looks quite awsome.

I love custom skins too, but for online play they are just too much of a strain on fps, so I use IL2 MAT/MAT Manager.

This way I can use default skins and still have realistic markings.

Many thanks for the responses - I'm d/ling the MAT manager now.

As you guys say it's the weathering that bothers me. The single tone and single colour meatball really stands out against the otherwise very detailed paint job.

Perhaps today I will end the curse of the day-glo meatball!

Oh bugger. The MAT manager insists that I point it at the Il2fb.exe, but I'm running PF as a standalone game so it won't work http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
