I have always used microsoft sidwinderprecision2 sticks for this series of flight sims since 2001, and have always used all the default settings.

This has worked perfectly for me. I use the hat-switch on the top of the stick to manipulate views and have never needed track IR either to wop on anybody.

Set the number seven button on the base to "look up" the zero degree on the hat-switch to "look forward" and buttons 6 and 5 for flaps up and down. You can set up the stick so you have both hands on it almost all the time except for minor engine adjustments and take-off and landing. This is a great advantage in combat to not have everything in one place.

Yea, I use similar settings for my joystick too. But, what I was really concerned about was the XYZ settings in the config that I could be using to make my flight more fitted to my hand and style.

Im experimenting with some stuff and ill post it here: This is the first test config (stalling problems occur in prop planes but I tweaked it so that it is minimal and jerk induced (well at least on my comp) )

Are there any better ones for the precision pro?

This is such a personal thing, and depends on a few variables... planes preferred, combat style, physical coordination, whether your stick is beginning to fade, etc.

For what it's worth, here is mine. I forget which bits refer to the sidewinder. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
