I just realized that because the root of the word "Pacific" is "Pax" (Peace) from Latin, Pacific Fighters could be interpreted as Peaceful Fighters. Now that's interesting, had you all though of that?

Havent you ever heard the term "Pacifist" or to be "pacific"?

The Pacific Ocean was probably named this way by 15th century sailors and such because of its calm waters.

If you take the title of this game litterally, I do agree that it does sound like an oxymoron...sort of like "american beer" or "military intelligence" that old bag...

BTW, are you in any way related to raaaid?

I'm guessing those 15th century sailors never got up in the North Pacific...around Hokkaido...in the winter. Nothing "pacific" about it!

And I was Navy Intelligence http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif what're you trying to say?! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

LOL...no offense intended man. Its just a joke I heard somewhere. Guess I didnt realise there were lots of ex- and active military people on the boards.

LOL, no worries! Was just poking fun at myself actually...it's funny, every time I tell someone what I did in the Navy I get the same joke: military intelligence? Contradiction in terms ain't it?

Now I usually just reply: yes...yes it is!
