Yup! At least inside citys anyway. You can climb any building, go on any roof, or to any part of the city. We havnt seen much footage out of the cities though.

My god have you seen how amazingly huge each city is? In one of the trailers it rotates the camera around when he is on a tall building. IT IS FREAKING HUGE!!! The city goes on and on for a long time... Then between those huge cities there is a huge countryside with little towns between them. 3 huge cities is enough for me, but all the land between them is just going to be amazing.

yes, you can free roam, it has been confirmed. She said that you get a list of people you have to assassinate, and you can pick who you want to kill first. She said you aren't rushed in any of the missions, so therefore we can say that it is a free roamer.

Jade said you aren't forced to assassinate anyone within a time frame or limit. So I guess that would imply that you can free roam and you can just do your own thing before you assassinate someone. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Sorry for double post. Here is the vid

AC Video (http://www.gamespot.com/video/930278/6174521/assassins-creed-stage-demo-1)

At 8:30 it shows how massive just one of the cities really is.
At 16:20 they say it is a free roaming game and was described as a sandbox kind of game!

are you sure that you can pick who you assassinate first? Because it seemes like you'll be proggressing through the storyline through the moments after the kill and if they don't have a order then that will be kinda weird.

You will only get a list of around 2-3 people to assassinate at a time, after you kill them all you get another 2-3 people and so on and so forth. Those numbers are obviously ball parked, but you get the idea. It doesn't give you every single person you need to assassinate in the game at the same time. That would be overwhelming and hard to make an appropriate difficulty curve.

you get a certain amount of people (be it 1, 2 or 3) to assassinate at a time, depending where you are in the story. so it's not only 2-3, but it could be 1 at certain times.

i think, and bear with me here people http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif, that in the story there will be other people you have to assassinate during the story. so it's not a side mission or anything like that, but it's a mission you must complete in order to move the story forward.

jade said "nine KEY guys". does that mean there are smaller assassinations in the midst???

BTW, the game is free roaming during the whole game, from beginning to end. you wanna go do a mission now? go ahead! you wanna free run for a bit? go ahead! you wanna unleash TOTAL ANNIHILATION on civilians, go ahead! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

i still think that you can kill anyone you want...

You can kill anyone you want.

OOOOHHH!!! What if one of your assassin's in your group is like a traitor?! Like a double agent! Wouldn't that be freaking awesome if he started to take down the wrong guys and you had to kill him before he took out another one? Assassinating an assassin would be freaking amazing, I hope it is in the game. Look at my vid I posted a couple of posts up, can you imagine trying to wipeout the entire city?! It is freaking huge!! There should be an achievement for wiping out everyone in Damascus lol http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif
