I looked in the manual and under multiplay there is a section on this.

I opened the chat window with the "`" (tilde) key. Then I opened up the console with the ">" key. Then I typed "fps show" then enter and escape to get out of the console window. There was a buch of text on the screen, but the parameters for the fps remained unchanged at fps stopped, hide, and log 8.

How do I get to see the frames per sec? Is this only available in multiplay? The chat window would not open in quick mission.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Michael

Offline hit "Shift" + "Tab"

Online is as you said.

Common format would be: fps START SHOW LOG 0

To turn it off: fps STOP HIDE*

To get rid off the text and such online, erase the ">" key from the chat bar. The fps will still be displayed.

*Might be unnecasray to type HIDE, as I haven't turned it off in quite awhile.

Good hunting,

I do like this online and offline.
shift+tab then write: fps START SHOW (case sensitive) and to stop it write: fps STOP SHOW.

Or copy the following Quote into your "rcu" file in the basic FB folder...
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>@alias f fps SHOW START
@alias nf fps SHOW STOP
<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Then, when you Shift+Tab you only have to type in "f" or "nf" (or change those two shortcuts to anything you like).

That's also the best place to customize your icon settings...mine are...
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>@alias q mp_dotrange COLOR 3 DOT 10 RANGE .01 TYPE 2 ID 0.01 NAME 0.01<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
the numbers are kilometers...all must be greater than Zero

Then I just type "q" to get the icons I want--instead of typing that long line of commands.
