Is it possible to see any of the vehicles/craft that were left up there using a telescope?
If so I'd love to see some pictures, I have an ongoing argument with someone who thinks the landings were a bluff.

Major, no it isn't possible to see anything man-made on the moon. However, if you get a chance, take a look at the moon through a good telescope. The best time is near first or last quarter, as the sun will be casting long shadows across the ground. This makes smaller details stand out much better and gives the view a more "3-d" look. You won't, however, get the same view as "full zoom" on the web page. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Anybody who thinks the moon landings were faked needs a shrink. I've seen some of the moronic arguments they try to put up "proving" that it was all faked. These people probably think the earth is flat and Elvis is still alive, too.

I don't doubt the moon landings. But I can appreciate how some big-time skeptics might.

I mean think about how godlike an achievement Apollo was, and then think about how nobody has been able to achieve something quite like that and it's almost four decades later. Enough to make it seem almost unreal...

And... Why hasn't anybody ever taken pictures of the Flag, Lunar Lander base units, Lunar Rover, ect... I just saw in the news last week that we had a explorer orbiting the Moon... Just take some pics and end the skeptisism...

When I zoomed in, I think I saw Wallace & Gromit haveing afternoon tea.

It wouldn't settle the debate. They would only suggest that NASA used it's NASA magic to photoshop in the evidence.

It's because after the US won the space race, the Soviets didn't bothered trying, mainly because it is so expensive and there is no real purpose in going up there unless they could beat the Americans.

the solar system conquest started in the 30s according nick cook

human made city domes are built on the other side of the moon, theres evidence for this in the disclosure project

we are kept light years from the truth by nixons scams like the staged moon landing

no pentagonal natural pyramids on earth, why them so usual in mars?

of course you just can believe the crab they tell in the history channel like "its amazing how the egyptian could have built the pyramids without the knowledge of the wheel"

25000 years old cities, sink atlantis, deluge, batles among the gods, prometheus-lucifer,eve- pandora, aple-box,maldek, the destroyed planect actual belt asteroids destroid according the bible hurting the dragon

lets face it we will never setle in the moon because then they would have to tell the truth about humanity

just think that with our actual technology we could just block the gene that causes aging

According to a documentary I saw - "Men in Black" Elvis is not dead, he just went home. I highly recommend this educational movie to all - it also has significant proof that the Earth is in fact a sphere.

Always funny, and interesting, to look at conspirecy theories.

Today on conspirecy uncovered: "Were the moon landings real?" "Infact does the moon even exist?"
See it in these 4 clips!!!!

Amusing thing happened with a Geologist...

Following Kent Hovind's example, I asked a Geologist how he knew how old Fossils were.
That's easy, he replied, their age is determined by the Strata level they were found in..

Interesting... and how sir do you know the age of the strata?
Another easy question... through the Fossils we find in it.

Umm... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

This should really be in the 'Did you know' thread: Neil Armstrong messed up his speach upon making the first step on the moon. He should have said : "This is one small step for a man...but one giant leap for mankind"

It's funny that so few people notice that it makes no sense the way he actually said it.
The line had been rehearsed beforehand.

Yeah, but what he should have said was (forget the astronaut that suggested it):

"OMG... what is _THAT_ thing!!!!??? AAAHHHHGHHH!!!"

(and then cut his mic.)
