Bob Morgan Needs Your Prayers

Bob Morgan, the pilot of the "Memphis Belle" in WWII fell recently, breaking his neck. He had surgery to repair the damage but remained in critical condition. Please keep Bob and his wife, Linda, in your prayers.Bob was one of three surviving crewmen along with Harold Loch, top turret gunner, and Robert Hanson, radio operator.

Now there is only two. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

He will not be coming to World War Two weekend then...

I sent a message along. I hope his family stays strong in this trying time. It is a huge loss for the American flying community.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Prayers and thoughts for him and his family.

It's weird because I just finished watching the movie before visiting the forum.

This is indeed a very sad day. It's so disheartening to know we are slowly losing our WWII veterans. I thoroughly enjoy talking to each and every single one of them I get to meet.

What that generation went through is simply incredible when you think about it....

May he Rest In Peace, and may God watch over his family and loved ones.
