Here is a audio interview (mp3) with a P-39 pilot that flew in the Med. He comments on the capability and vices of the plane and some combat engagements he had with it.

I don't know if many of you have heard this one before, but since it has been sitting on my hd for a long time I thought with all the P-39 talk it might be a good time to post it.

Audio quality is not the best as it is pretty compressed but you can still understand him pretty clearly.

Thanks for posting that RedSpar. Sounds pretty much like what happens to most people when they first try out the P-39, especially in the original Il2.
