Hello Ubisoft community. I just downloaded IL-2 Sturmovik on the office computer, and before I get it on my gaming PC, I would like some help. I learned how to play, but I still have a few questions. A couple of really frusterating things keep me from enjoying the game to its fullest.

I have a half broken joystick. I can't do rudder controls with it. I can do this with the keyboard, when I take off, the rudder repositions itself to the middle everytime I take off, I can't reverse this. I can't overide it to where it goes back to where I had it. So, sadly the plane veers off the runway and crashes. I am using the "." and "," keys, not the joystick.

In case it is a technical problem, my OS is Vista 32.

Also, are you able to choose any plane you want in a dynamic campaign? Or do you have to work up to some of the better ones of the same genre?

Thanks-

Can't wait to play some more! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Here you go Nuggets Guide (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/3181081438).
Get a proper joystick and pedals.. quick - You won't be sorry - actually you'll never be the same again - Say G'Day to your wife/GF/Kids/Family and don't make any funny gun noises while driving your car/bike/etc..

You really need better rudder control than the keys will ever give you. You might make do for this or that but it's like trying to run a race on crutches.

Rudder pedals are best, they are expensive but you might be able to get some used ones on craiglist or ebay or whatever. If you are really feeling cheap then at least pick up a Logitech 3D Extreme Pro, they are only about $20-25 and have a twist rudder. It's not great but it's better than nothing.
