What about RC torpedoes for them ? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

An battery, an small e-motor , an propellor and an modified fire-cracker as warhead .... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

BANG ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif An model ship sinks to the bottom of the lake. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Seriously, .. that must be a lot of work but also a lot of fun to let them swim http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

EDIT : http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif They HAVE torpedoes AND FUNCTIONING tubes for them http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Just a shameless bump...

Anyone interested in the awesome world of R/C Subs - please check out: http://www.subcommittee.com/ and consider becoming a member there. They send out an awesome quarterly Mag to anywhere in the world.

I've been into this hobby for over a year now, and looking to complete my own USS Albacore R/C model soon. If anyone has any questions or wants to know anything at all about the hobby, please feel free to ask http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. The community also is simply the best. In fact, its on par with the SH3 community as far as helpful and top blokes go.

I'm building my RC sub (U-47 VIIB).

Robbe U-47 (http://at.robbe-online.net/rims_at.storefront/4431952100180d90271b3e0dc1460617/Product/View/1&2D1114)

Put 1114 in search at robbe's site.

I can post some pics later..

Many years ago, b4 SH1, I'd worked out a way to control 'RC' subs underwater, from a laptop. something like an extended computer game.

Let me explain.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sleepzzz.gif
You(and a few others) sit at the edge of the lake/Big swimming pool with your laptop, connected to a underwater comms device (trade secret http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif ) and you try and sink each other with your subs. you pop their rear ends which causes their sub to blow ballast.

you need the necessary kits like battery supplies, 'cooler box'(traditional drunken sailors)..etc..

Another big plan.. but no time to implement.

Canasoppa,the Robbe kit sounds nice.

Are you leaving it as a dynamic diver, or converting to static?.

I myself looked at some uboat kits, but most of them usually require a much greater degree of modification from what I have read..

Keep us updated on your efforts http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Cheers.
