Been away a while - I am surprised that require 2.4ghz processor and cable/dsl is minimum.
Usually minimums are set really really low.

I currently run Intel 2.6ghz processor w/400 bus. 512meg RDram , audigy 2 and 9500pro on intel 850 board.

Is PF gonna bring my system to its knees or what? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Or am gonna have to turn the eye candy way way down to get decent FPS?

S! all...

Marginally more than FB. Unless you run in Perfect mode.. then PF will kill your PC.

In max settings I might.
Now you should be able to fly PF with the same eye candy you use for FB.

Onlly I would get some more RAM. 512 is barelly the minimum for FB http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

2.4 GHz recommended? Holy friggin' smokes! Where did you hear that? I hope it's not true...

By the way, can something even be "marginally killed"?

This mysterious article appeared about a week ago in the Washington Post. When questioned about it, the EiC declined to respond. One truth prevails.

Well:

1) Its virtually the same as Forgotten Battles: Ace Expansion so the graphics level isn't going to be much higher. A little bit here and there but overall no.

2) A recommended 2.4Ghz speaks to reason and realism when setting a level where you should be at to play this game at highest levels. Alot of games will say it runs on X and it turns out that you essentially turn off everything, no features, and restrict your playability to get it to work. So its better this way.

I can speak to 2.4 not being enough, my 2700+ is sometimes not quite enough.

IceFire you must be flying some hectic missions
Iâ´m doing fine and dandy with my XP2600 and 1 Gig of RAM.

About 24-30 aircrafts and plenty of ground objetcs too, On Line with about 16 to 20 players...

No stutter or Freezes at all...

Some Lag of course but that is becouse of our lousy conexions not the Hosts (me) lack of PC power....

I read something in PC Pilot today, saying that you should be able to run PF at the exact same settings as you run Forgotten Battles at now. This came from Oleg Maddox himself. Now to see the newer features like those beautiful waves, you're going to want a beefier system

Since the PF development of the IL2/FB/AEP engine will be supporting Pixel Shader 3.0, an Nvidia 6800 series will be a major benefit to performance.

to whoever asked - i found those specs on UBI's website for PF.

last time, i increased my PC's strength in atticipation of demands of FB.

I play FB at "acceptable" FPS @ Excellent now.

It is sad I dont have the funds to buy new MOBO,RAM, processor and Graphics Card. So, I shall wait and see how current set up handles PF first.

New Ques: Nvidia gonna be better than ATI for PF?

Thanks all for info.
