Question on net connection

Game arrived,and about to install

now i have 2 pc`s,1 for gaming/work and the other for net connection and connected use.

So the question is how important is a net connection for the game ?
I dont play online games so dont or shouldnt need a net connection.

Will it run without a connection ?
