Please tell me, those who have Pacific Fighters; will I be able to run it satisfactorily on my machine?

Are those frame killing "Palm Trees" that were in the original Pacific Map of FB all over the place?

I run FB in Excellent Mode and get good performance.

Your opinion is appreciated

The system (in its normal state) is definitely good with at least "water=1" and "forest=1" (when "HardwareShaders=1") in AEP.

But as the PF presents big ships => lots of AAA and far more cramped sky (i.e. the most intensive parts of battles over sea involve really many planes, ships, shells, bombs and rockets, all in the relatively small radius around main targets), this presumes increased demands on CPU-FSB-Memory-AGP bundle.
So i would pay more attention exactly at this part of a system like yours.
What's the chipset? (2-channel like 865PE needed)
FSB frequency?
Memory frequency?
(under 200(400)MHz is unacceptable for my preference of performance)

i think you ll definately get good performance. in perfect mode it even seems to run better for me than in excellent (i only have a fx 5600).

stay clear of missions that feature heavy flak though as that is a sure fire fps killer.

I've run it on my POS p3 w/ 512megs memory at work and it ran fine (I have a killer card though/ gainward 5900 Ultra golden sample).
