I wish you would post the score and who Wales played. I assume it was England?

It would help us poor colonials. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Wales beat France 29 - 12 in the deciding match to claim a Grand Slam 6 nations victory at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.

A resurgeant England beat Ireland comfortably without Wilkinson in the team to claim some crumb of comfort.

Italy beat Scotland with the last kick of the game, Scotland won't care too much as they won the Calcutta cup against England last week.

Good days for Welsh sport - Cardiff City are in the F.A. cup semi finals (ironic really as they've moved the venue from Cardiff to the New Wembley).

Well done Wales! Those French mustn't have got away with their forward passes this time eh http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

But seriously, the Welsh must have played very well to defeat one of the top teams in world rugby!

England won without Johnny? Is that even possible? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

Well done Wales http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif.

Not too bad a year for the Home Nations, at least none of us got the wooden spoon. Yes ok, I know I know, Scotland only avoided it by two points http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif, but when it comes to near misses an inch is as good as a mile, yes?

Thanks Low_Flyer. I played a lot of rugby when I grew up in the UK and am always interested in hearing about the results of the 6 nations games.

My closest friend here in Canada is a Welshman by the name of Phil Williams so will let him know.

Bloody typical I was working nights for the finale but I am glad to hear that Wales won.

Good to hear that Scotland avoided the dreaded spoon

I shall look forward to watching the games this week.

Hi all,

It was a great tournament. What amazes me is that the supporters sit amongst each other with no crowd trouble (Unlike football/soccer).

And most have a glass of beer to hand.

There's a famous saying. 'Football is a gentleman's game played by hooligans. Rugby is a hooligan's game played by gentlemen'.

I used to play both and I agree http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Best Regards,

Also, the way the players don't whine like little girls every time the ref makes a decision is a great advert for sportsmanship.

Totally agree http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

And the players and fans after the game will drink together with no trouble.

When I played Club Rugby I found the games to be hard. But afterwards we all had respect for each other. The tradition of cheering your opponants after the game was unique in sport and difficult to explain.

That's the way all games should be played.

Obviously your sportsmen are inferior, no body amour, no steroids...what the hell?

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif We like to think they are superior because they don't use body armour. I can't comment on the steroids though.
