Thanks for the tip off http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Send him 2, then he'll still have one after he'd ritually burned the first one at midnight.

Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely keep an eye out for that issue (they are usually half a month late here in Norway).

Better having a picture of a 109 going down in flames over the cliffs of Dover than a picture of aSpitfire Vb exploding taken from a Fw 190's guncam. Now thats aeronautical perfection imo

never seen any omg mass death explosion of utter death to faces omg it ksploded bigger than urmum german guncam footage.

have however seen few puffs of smoke and the odd panel falling off http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

have seen exploive guncam footage of 190s suddenly losing a wing as something has hit the ammo box...

Since I have no clue where to get Flypast (will google in a min), I'm expecting some new Spitfire pictures from that article to find their way into this thread, soon, Mr. p1ngu. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Might be something to do with who won the war, the personal motives of the editors of magazines and producers of History programmes and how the Germans utilised their gun cam footage rather than there being no footage at all.

Ive seen some great footage of 109 E's fighting I16's and I153's scoring hits on head on passes ect. You never see that kind of footage on anything other than obscure Luft dvd's.

One thing for sure spitfire definitely was 4x 20mm cannon proof

It didn't. The Fw190 didn't really become a factor until 1942.

How did a thread entitled 'for spitfire lovers' manage to attract so many anti-spitfire fanboys?

Geez, if you dont like the plane, why post in the thread? Start a 'for 190 lovers' thread instead.
