Dear co-community members,

Most of us have been here for quite a while now, others only just came in to see what's here. Something I think everyone wants to have is information about our beloved Splinter Cell series. This poll is about the ways of Ubisoft staff interacting with the Community, the information they give and some more.

Please take your time to read through all of the options before voting.

Other comments are welcomed.

Regards,

Ubisoft has some major problems.

Nothing worth talking about, because it really won't do anything but start an arguement.

I can wait for more info if it leads somewhere, but they need to tell me first, that it leads somewhere. Not giving info isnt that bad, but not telling why/when is.

Something like this is happening in the R6 forums too its something called the Bidirectional communication thread. Lets hope more people get upset so Ubi remembers how to satisfy customers.

It's ironic that you come out with this at this time because no where is UBI listed in the confirmed games list for the Big E3. Here is the link (http://games.ign.com/articles/880/880004p1.html)if you wish to check it out.

Ubi just does not care and those who say that Ubi does are just lying.

The weird thing is that they aren't struggling to give info on FARCRY 2...there seems to be a nice load of info on that game but just this one game...I hope UBISOFT gets ConVicted to give us some more info after this thread...

Well, they did show us SCC...once upon a time.

How well is Far Cry 2 being received? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thanks for pointing me at it. I read through 95% and scanned the rest. Might drop by later.

To create a link, you have to use the proper tags to create it. The tags for a link look like this: What do you think about the information and communication of Ubisoft?. To make it an actual link, remove the space in the /url part of the tag. Images are posted similarly as you already have one in your sig.

I have yet to hear anything negative about FARCRY 2...does that help with your question? As far as ConViction goes I have yet to see something good. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I'm more Psyched about Farcry 2 now than ConViction maybe because it is coming out soon.

I just signed up at the Game Informer forums a few days ago.

Writing code over there is kinda messy, but as soon as I get it under my belt, I'll add a link to my sig to see if I can help bring in some more votes.

I found this thread through ERN's sig.... Being a member on the forums for a bit now, on Rainbow Six and the EndWar boards mostly, I have to say I agree that info isn't getting out the way it should. And this goes beyond the Splinter Cell series, that's why I'm here. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif The thing is though, I don't agree that all the blame should be placed on Forum Managers and Community Managers. I talk to forum managers and community managers often, and I know one thing about them. If they had the info, they would pass it on. The thing is, it's hard for them to dig up info from the dev teams. And because of this, they don't have much info to give. I know a few CMs and FMs who have told me in private how much they dislike the fact that they can't get info. It's not fun for them either http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Now, I do think that some of Ubi's ridiculous policies of not having more devs interact with the community are well...ridiculous. I find it to be absolutely horrible that it's this hard to get simple info such as about patches (in Rainbow Six's case).

One last thing I will add here. I saw something about the mods should relay more info. I can tell you right now, as a moderator myself, I'll be the first to tell you we don't here much more then you. You may have picked up on the "much more" part. When I say much more, I mean we get responses from FMs and CMs telling us that they are trying etc etc, and how frustrated they are with the situation.

Anyway [/rant]

EDIT: Just noticed a slight thread revive http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I haven't been able to post since I forgot my password but I saw this thread a month or two ago thanks to ERN thanks for helping people find this. Ubisoft could learn a thing or two if they would read the forums they tell everyone to visit in their own videos.
