View Full Version : How do I host a co-op in hyperlobby with a router followed by my PC and its firewall?

Hey all--

I am having a problem trying to host co-op missions in HL and I am wondering how to most quickly diagnose the culprit.

I can join games no problem (DF servers or Co-ops), it just seems I can't HOST them.

The router has a NAT firewall plus my PC is running ZoneAlarm.

I do NOT wish to turn off ZoneAlarm or otherwise make my PC vulnerable by DMZ-ing it.

Any advice?

Thanks.

S!,
Not knowing your router nor ZoneAlarm, I'd say you'll have to read your documentation. In there, it should explain that you need to open up specific ports to allow access to the IL2fb.exe. I'm just guessing, but this is what I have to do w/ my Linksys router.

To host behind a router you must forward port 21000 to the internal ip of the host machine.
