Ubisoft UK is running a series of auctions on eBay to raise money for the DEC tsunami appeal (Registered charity number 1062638) (http://www.dec.org.uk). Lots will include signed copies of games, posters, T-shirts, caps and other merchandise. Different lots will be added daily over the next few weeks.

The items sold are not available to buy in shops, so take this opportunity to get hold of some unique memorabilia.

Visit eBay to see the list of Ubisoft auctions (http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=ubisoft_charity&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50)

Definitely rare and collectable - the bidding is already going well.

Capt_Kernel's thoughtful additions are a good example of why these sort of announcements should be locked down.

What a great idea. You guys could really raise a ton of cash with some creativity, here. I want a hat for sure.

I think I may do the same thing with much of the extra/unwanted stuff accumulating around the house that for some reason sells really well on ebay. I think it would be cool if more people did this...it rids you of some excess, creates storage space, and most importantly--helps some really, really hurting people.

Thats what is done by the german post...take what you want to sell, put it in a parcel and deliver at the next poststation.
Its unpacked, photographed and sold on ebay...120.000 parcels arrived till now, account is at "200.000 and counting...very fast...adding up to the >"350.000.000 donated till now..

BTW how about selling a certain 3.04 thingee on ebay??? that would make some money http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Is this thing REALLY fair game? I'm in the US but wouldn't mind taking a shot at the poster. What the heck is 77 pounds in US dollar anyway?

77 quid is around $100, I think.

I'll cut my check to anyone who is currently modeling the torp planes (ALL Nations and stations represented) either for an expansion pack or 3rd party add-on.
That way we can finally have the only description of the game that we truly haven't received.
That is: A P.T.O. SIMULATOR!!
NOT an IMAGINATOR like some ppl would want us to be stuck with.
Noble as the cause is I already made a donation.
Cant say that buying up a poster will, after UBI and ebay gets their fee's,help many of the victims it is originally intended for.
Besides Ubi will probably try to "RUSH" this effort out and it will become SNAFU as well.
But as to the old phrase: One mans trash is another mans treasure.

I'd really like to see some of those Russian language IL2 T-Shirts. Those would be cool and certainly NOT available "over here"
