View Full Version : Desmond's Journey Part 4: Metropolis

There aren't any real spoilers in this post. I've just been searching all over and haven't found an answer yet. What music was playing in the background? I delayed completing it just so I could listen to it more and was disappointed when I didn't see it on either volumes of the ACR soundtrack. (The free one from Signature Edition and I bought vol 2 from iTunes.)

Does anyone have any idea or is this just some random original music Ubisoft deemed too short to be worth inclusion on the soundtrack? It didn't vary much so it could very well just be a looped sound file. Any thoughts?

Thank you

Yeah I know what you're talking about and would like to know as well. I didn't really notice until he said something about the base beating really fast but I rather enjoyed it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to like the music in the background! I checked on YouTube but there isn't anything about it. I loved that part, just for the music. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Make that four people who loved it. It didn't kick in until Desmond made a comment about the bass and being around beautiful women at the nightclubs. Needless to say, I couldn't find the track either.

bass, duh http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g444/Blind2Society/facepalm.gif

I've been saying and typing that word correctly for decades. Why I screwed it up this time, I do not know.

That music was pretty hypnotic. I wish I knew though

I thought the way that music was introduced was pretty amazing, with it kicking in when you got to the part of the level with the crazy flashing lasers and stuff. Desmond's sections were very trippy and cool. I don't even know if I liked them or not, though. It was interesting, but didn't tell us that much about him that we didn't already know.

I enjoyed the track too. I took a few extra moments thru that level just to listen. I would love to get that track somewhere.

that's what got me. There was nothing to find out. cool to play and weird to watch. But honestly, I thought it was going to teach us something about Desmond. Not just repeat what we already know!

Yeah, a lot of people seem disappointed about the whole "Revelations" of the game, because we aren't finding out that much information we didn't already know. But Desmond's gameplay was a nice

Hello Everyone, In regards to the music I'm pretty sure it's a Remix of Daft Punk - End Of Line
Not sure which one it would be, These two are the closet matches I've found anyway
Daft Punk - End Of Line (Unreleased First Edit) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZfQ-RMNY00&feature=related)

Daft Punk - End of Line (Bass Remix) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3iDKNiTjrE&feature=related)

And as for everyones comments on Desmond's Journey, I'd have to disagree (but only alittle bit http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif )
I thought it was really cool being able to hear how he left the Farm and all of that, it'd be heaps better though if he'd gone into it at more depth. But then again I dunno, I never played bloodlines and any of Altiars other (if there is any) games is there more information in those that I didn't find out in the following games?

I LOVED Desmonds little missions. Gave him some actual character.

I've been seeing where everyone says its a version of Daft Punk's End of Line, and I do agree it does sound similar but still not 100% convinced that's it. Still, they should have released the song with the OST. hell I actually think it sounde awesome playign while he talked about being there, gave an interesting vibe to it that made me feel like being there myself, which was pretty awesome. I also couldnt help but spawn the blocks in time with the down beat to the music which was fun in its own way (though i did it while trying to cross the gap so I ended up falling and cutting the music off...at which point i stopped doing that and just listened)

either way would be nice if someone could find out for sure about the song, or hell, even just go in on a good program and record that part of the level and then post it. I would but webcam and mic dont agree with me.

Also want to add, indeed we knew about him being a bartender and the templars finding him but i really dont recall any mention of his life before that, plus it was still enjoyable to hear him talk about it, and Part 4 in particular was the most fun of all with the music and the Sherley Templars n all that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The section where that song was playing and you have to navigate all the lasers was a really cool and unique game moment. There was just something about the way the metaphors inside the computer were paralleling the events that Desmond was describing. Also trying to solve timing-based puzzles while that music was going was just really cool and trippy.

I'm not a club person. I'm no dancer and I'm not good around large groups of people. But I SWEAR, I loved that beat so much that I could seriously see myself stepping onto a dance floor and dropping away from the face of the Earth, moving to that awesome beat.

Found it on Youtube but it's a direct rip of the game so no title and with Desmond talking a little. Overall quality is ok though.

YES! This song is a nice jam, and break from the rest of the music (which I rather njoy also). Im actually just at that point now... and it's playing as I type. we need to find a way to get this beat in our hands....yes it has a similar Rhythm to the Daft punk song (At first i thought daft or deadmouse) Its melodies and "glitch" are different. REALLY bummed that they didnt give us a complete sound track. With a game that ubisoft gave us SO much depth in, they fell short in yet another realm.

According to the ACR credits, the additional music was composed by andrew kawczynski and steve mazzarro.

I did a little research and found that Steve Mazzarro music is mostly instrumental or classic. But about Andrew Kawczynski music, its kinda hard to say, because I didnt found much information, but according to a samples from this page http://www.hello.dj/andrew-kawczynski he seems to do a lot of electronic music, so he COULD be the possible composer.

When I heard this song, I fell in love with it. Awesome song, would definitely like to get a copy of it. When I heard it in this mission, I went right away to download my ACR Soundtrack from GameStop, but I was disappointed that it wasn't even on it ... Shame

Too bad I loved these songs as well...

Hey guys I'm only getting into revelations now as my ps3 was getting fixed for a faulty hdd but YEA this song rocks! ^_^ Played this sequence lastnight and I found myself just sitting there vibing to the song n forgetting that I had to carry on with the stage LOL

Gotta say tho i am kinda dissapointed in the desmond sequences, I really was hoping that we'd be playing AS desmond within his memories of the farm etc n not playing a trippy fps tetris/portal game BUT not saying I hate it, it just isn't assassins creed.

Love this song, its really really catchy heh I think alot of us fans have got quite attached to it (:

The song is called "Party Hard" and was not released in the three CD's of the soundtrack. Sad, because it was such a good song. There is a playlist on Youtube, if you type in "Assassin's Creed Revelations Unreleased Soundtrack" there's 86 songs that were left out of the original soundtrack. Some songs are really good. Hope this helped.

That's actually a fan-made remake, i stumbled upon it before. It's good but i prefer the original one of which i, unfortunately, can't find a full hd version.

What, the song is actually called "Party Hard"?
It's a pretty good song though. Quite outstanding compared to the usual AC soundtracks.
