I have an ATI Radeon 9600 pro, OS is win2k sp4 and I've been reading so many of the posts here and tried many of the suggestions, but there may need to be some clarification, not just for me but for others. First, what operating system? I've read many 'turn off this' and 'turn on that' but those options aren't found anywhere. Not in my ATI console, PF setup, etc. Some abbreviations don't match up either. What is AI? Artificial intelligence? Anti Aliasing? Again, I can't find any settings to match. I'm not a 'noob' but I'm on a lot of 'wild goose chases'. Even Hunter82's excellent instructions arent' always applicable. Please help.

AI refers to Catalyst AI (artificial intelligence)feature in the new catalyst control ceneter ( ace,ccc,c3, etc) AA refers to Anti Aliasing, AF or Aniso refers to anisotropic filtering.

I will be only refering to items in the catalyst control center.

I see now, in the ccc it's Catalyst AI. I didn't see the AI part because of my window size.
