Really loud, neighbours at the door loud.
Julie Andrews waxing lyrical.

"Doe a deer, a female deer;
ray a drop of golden sun.
Me a name I call myself;
far a long, long way to run."

Etc., etc...

AC/DC; anything from the Back in Black album, plus Highway to Hell and For those about to Rock (We Salute You).

If you're flying the mighty Fw-190, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries is a must.

If I am in a Heinkel 111, and I see a swarm of Hurricanes coming at me, I hear Wagner's "The Ride of Valkyries"---before I go catatonic.

I"m partial to electronica, so I usually play Trance Control for combat music. They do very pretty high energy ambient music, some of it would be perfect for game soundtracks. http://www.trance-control.net.

Free reg required, I recommend Atomic Dance Explosion (Radio Edit) as a first try.

And then there's alwasy rock n roll. ACDC really helps maintain that fighter jock attitude.

It's a Long Way to Tipperary
http://www.firstworldwar.com/audio/itsalongwaytotipperary.htm

Up to mighty London came
An Irish lad one day,
All the streets were paved with gold,
So everyone was gay!
Singing songs of Piccadilly,
Strand, and Leicester Square,
'Til Paddy got excited and
He shouted to them there:

It's a long way to Tipperary,
It's a long way to go.
It's a long way to Tipperary
To the sweetest girl I know!
Goodbye Piccadilly,
Farewell Leicester Square!
It's a long long way to Tipperary,
But my heart's right there.

Paddy wrote a letter
To his Irish Molly O',
Saying, "Should you not receive it,
Write and let me know!
If I make mistakes in "spelling",
Molly dear", said he,
"Remember it's the pen, that's bad,
Don't lay the blame on me".

It's a long way to Tipperary,
It's a long way to go.
It's a long way to Tipperary
To the sweetest girl I know!
Goodbye Piccadilly,
Farewell Leicester Square,
It's a long long way to Tipperary,
But my heart's right there.

Molly wrote a neat reply
To Irish Paddy O',
Saying, "Mike Maloney wants
To marry me, and so
Leave the Strand and Piccadilly,
Or you'll be to blame,
For love has fairly drove me silly,
Hoping you're the same!"

It's a long way to Tipperary,
It's a long way to go.
It's a long way to Tipperary
To the sweetest girl I know!
Goodbye Piccadilly,
Farewell Leicester Square,
It's a long long way to Tipperary,
But my heart's right there.

Extra wartime verse

That's the wrong way to tickle Mary,
That's the wrong way to kiss!
Don't you know that over here, lad,
They like it best like this!
Hooray pour le Francais!
Farewell, Angleterre!
We didn't know the way to tickle Mary,
But we learned how, over there!

Nah, that one sucks (just my opinion, but it lags a little). If you're going for old soldier songs...

The Minstrel Boy.

Gary Owen.

The Battle Hymn of the Republic. (Gory Halooyah, according to my niece.)

I have two favorites: Bhodissatva by Steely Dan, and Bad To the Bone by George Thorogood and the Destroyers, although if I feel like being truly vile, I go with Julie Andrews too, only from the Original Broadway Cast version of My Fair Lady:

"...lots of chocolate for me to eat,
Warm nose, warm 'ands, warm feet,
Owwrh, wouldn't it be loverly?"
