Yeah, games are all region free.
But if you're buying the PS3 in the States, it won't play like region 2, (i think spain's in) dvds and blue ray movies, so you'll have to get all those from the states too if thats the case.

you're much better getting one from spain.

Mh... okok thanks a lot everybody.So, having a NTSC TV ( that's not a problem anyway cause I have a converter ) I won't have problems with a NTSC PS3 but PAL Spanish region's games ?
I really don't care about the DVD compatibility but I don't know what to do about the blu-ray...
I know it's much better to get it from Spain if I'm Spanish but here it's 600€ and there's 600$...I mean, 600$ are 437.453€ ( 600€ = 822.946$)..I'm saving 162.547€ (= 222.954$ )...
So I still don't know what to do http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif...
Thanks for answering anyway I hope someone helps me to clear my mind...

Yeh sorry xD now when I read the message I don't understand it either xD

In conclusion:

1.Am i going to have problems to play Spanish region's games in a NTSC PS3 with a NTSC TV ?

2.I don't care about the DVD compatibility but " I don't know if I should care about the Blu-ray compatibility".

3. I know it's better to buy it in Spain but I'm saving 162.547€ (= 222.954$)...it's worth it ?

Thanks xP

There are a few problems however if you are to buy a North-American PS3.
1. In the USA the electricity runs at 110V/60Hz while in Europe it's 220V/50Hz and all if you just plug it in without a specialized adapter it will simply fry.

2. DVDs, PS1 and PS2 games will be region locked to USA, so you can't play their European versions on your PS3.

3. They're not forced to lock it in Blu-ray but some might still decide to make region-locked Blu-ray movies.

Yes we'd save a lot of money buying American PS3s and even with the shipping costs and adapter we'd save about 90€ (about $124).
Though we save money for this we'll be spending a lot more if we want to play some old ps2 games on it, having them imported from the USA/Canada.

There is also another possible problem.
4. If you don't have an HD TV set your tv must have NTSC support. All Sharp TVs have PAL, SECAM, NTSC and NTSC J so if you happen to have one of those you're safe. I'm about to sell one such relic (27'' from 1993). Sorry, locals only. Spain is too far away for me.

Just buy it. Then return it if it doesn't work. Simple.
