A patch already.

The game only came out 2 days ago.

Ubi is on top of this one.

Brothers In Arms also has a pre-release patch lol. Ubi is darn good with these two.

Cheers for the heads up madsarmy,
Got my copy today, haven't even installed it yet but I'll get the patch to avoid any dissapointment. Never submarinered (definately not a word) before but I shall be enjoying it!

Is SHIII any good? Comments?

@ CrazyIvan,
It looks to be just as immersive and accurate as IL2 is and the graphics on the case (max spec available now of course) are well... heck... sexy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ian Boys & Starshoy are even discussing it on the SimHq boards :

I am still waiting to hear reviews on the dynamic campaign. The main thing that fell through the floor for me with SHII was the scripted campaigns and the necessity to complete the objective before being allowed to move on. Yes I know there were third party add-ons to make the game better, but UBI nearly lost a lifetime customer (Me) because of SHII.

Actually, that is the whole reason I put off buying IL2 for so long.. The UBI trademark.

So, I think I will take my time before I buy this one, but I am hoping for the best!

I absolutely LOVE strategic sub simulators!

I couldn't agree more. I loved SHII (and Red Storm Rising, and Silent Service) but AotD was a better sim...why? Because I'm not Prien or Topp or Thomsen, d@mmit! My KK was Rutger Prochnow, and he wanted to do his own thing...but BdU wouldn't let him, he had to re-enact Prien's raid on Scapa Flow, etc...frustrating. AotD was pure sim joy, if SHIII allows that type of play, I won't be pried away from it this weekend (I'm buying it ASAP)
