In perfect water =1 visual effect =1 .But Water = 3 and V.E. =2 stutter FPS averidge 25.Is pretty low. This is not right Very expensive upgrade and not much change.AA 2xQ and anisotrp. Filter. 4x,In game 1024x768x32Setting NVidia 6800/6600/FX/4/3
This issue schould by fixed first before adding some planes or maps. I also think about buying that GeForce. Don't worry, the game is slow because of a driver issues and the game is also full of bugs (memory leaks etc) My hot rod is Prescott 3.2E so it's about the same caliber as yours. I expect that the game runs quite well after a while http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes, you are right for sure. I got my copy yesterday, and found that with water set at more than 0, PF is almost unplayable, though I still have to tweak a couple of things. I was used to play FB AEP with a maximum of quality, and expected PF to run almost perfect, apart from a few things with my rig, but it isn´t the case.
I´ve got a rather good rig: P4 @ 3.06 MHz, 2 Gb Dual RAM, Ati 9800XT, SB Audigy 2. But I guess that some of these performance problems will be overcome with the patch.

I also run water=0 to keep the fps up. If I use water=1 I get 35-45 over the water but drop into the 25-30 fps range if I even look at an island in the distance. These are not unplayable numbers at all, but the reason I don't use water=1 is I fly over an island and get all the trees, airfields, flak, hangers, ect... FPS drops to unplayable levels (around 13-15).

So to keep it 30 plus all the time, I just leave perfect water = 0. The reflections are nice, but so far in the heat of battle, I never notice them, so why take the fps hit for something I don't look at except when replaying tracks?

You may be Happier with my system...I run FP all Excellent settings maxed out, but only Perfect clouds (which shows how old FB/FP clouds are).
