Well me neither until t'other week when me and she took the mutts to Lyme Regis to exercise their droite de signeurs on the shingle.
Stopping for lunch and a pint at the Pilot Boat Inn the story of Lassie, the pub's dog in 1915, entered my consciousness via some story board on the wall.

Click here for Lassie's origins. (http://www.burtonbradstock.org.uk/History/Wrecks%20off%20Burton%20Bradstock/HMS%20Formidable.htm)

Although Lassie's origin's aren't aviation related perhaps folk might like to relate their 'dogs in combat' related tails (ahem) here.

Synchronicity rearws its ugly head, yet again! Here is a smattering of what is currently being posted in a.b.p.m

...while in the USA, news today: an elderly couple was saved from death in their burning home, by a collie named...yes, Lassie. Lassie was found killed in the wreckage, but she woke her human family in time to save them.

Synchroncity, indeed, although for the record I am of the opinion Karl Jung was as full of poo as could be without being a receptacle in a public restroom

I'm a HUGE Police fan, they are equal to the Clash in my book, but I can't stand the Jungian bit one, er...little bit

One of my favourite jokes runs as follows:
First you have to be with a bunch of mates, in the pub or at work etc. Then you pick one and say to everyone-very seriously:

"What famous film star would (insert mates name here) look like with a cigar in his mouth?"

(You will get the usual responses-Clint Eastwood being the obvious one).

Let everyone giveup and then give the answer:

"Lassie having a s**t"

Guaranteed to get a big laff!!!!
