Hi all,

I popped down to my local pub'(bar) in north London,England this evening for a couple of Spitfire beers with a friend.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/MB_Avro/glass.gif

I decided to take with me a WW1 German (Imperial) leather flying helmet. (See pic).

Maybe we've all fallen for the temptation at some time or other to take a leather flying helmet to a drinking establishment...I know I have on many occasions down the years.

Anyway...as in the past...a Lady has offered to wear my Helmet on her head.

But...here's a pic of today's paper involving cattle disease and Lady Camilla....what a mixed headline http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/MB_Avro/IMGP6873.jpg

My helmet was on the table when I was approached by a Lady Who Loves Helmets..

I admire the way that she is holding both chin straps as if she is Amelia Earhart..

Hi all,

In my macho opinion..

Women have a disturbing and unexpected better sense of humour than we guys appreciate...but do NOT marry them...ever...if you do marry them you will die very slowly and in great pain with nooo money..

Can anyone lend me some money please...just a small amount ??

Best Regards,
MB_Avro.

That's some muffin top she's got going on there.

At first glance, I thought she looked pregnant and was taken aback that she might be quaffing at the pub. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Hi all,

To be honest...I told her that it was was my Grand-Father's flying helmet from 1918. She accepted this account and was ready to pose.

Was this a cheap chat up line? But she admired the quality of the helmet and explored it with her probing fingers.

I will return on Thursday to the venue. But this time I will have a pair of period Goggles to tempt her.

Should I invite an exotic pose from her wearing Goggles?

Best Regards,
MB_Avro.

Mmm... never tried to wear an helmet in any West London pubs...

Maybe it's the appeal of the leather gear... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Ooo, she looks most friendly! From there on it's just a matter of procuring a regulation leather Ballenschütze from the Kaiserliege Flugzugcorps, and you should be all set up.

What? You mean not ALL women look like the anorexic models and actresses we see on TV and in magazines? SAY IT ISN'T SO!

Thankfully, NO! Too scrawny and built for one thing, modeling clothes.

Buxom beauties are the shiznet. Besides their obvious bountifulness, they provide more warmth in those cold winter months, too. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

You are absolutely correct that many of us are likewise tempted to bring a WWI leather helmet into a drinking establishment. Strangely, I was thinking this same thought when I happened upon your post.....And upon witnessing your success with the lass, now all the moreso.

Not the hottest, but very pretty. I'd hit it anyway just for good measure. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
