Hi all.

Long time ago, I read in a magazine about an attempt on the allied side to trick the Germans air raid during the nights. The story was about a magician (?) who created a fake city that resembled actual one. If Im not mistaken it was on the Libyan or mediterannean campaign.

The story went further and told that when the allied armored forces found themself lacking the suitable paint to put on their vehicles as desert camouflage, this person suggested camel's drop (yuck ) to be put on instead.

I couldnt recall the name of the person and any further details regarding this story. Could someone help?
