Hello Mods, I was wondering if I can upload a SWF signature, and if so can you guys give me the BB code for it?
Of course, it would still be within the dimensions and file size limits.

Isn't a .swf signature just like an animated one?

And respect for the Mac love c-swain http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Your best bet would be to convert the .swf file into a .gif image. Cheap, I know (I used to animate in Flash all the time) but it still meets the same purposes.

ill try a pm.

gif has many limitation, like number of colors. and doing something interesting in a 500x150 gif would definitely not fit the 60kb limitation. Plus there's a lot more interactivity in a swf.

there are a lot more ways you can attack PC's through flash as well and that is why they don't allow them.

as for next to no viruses getting mac, have you ever seen a comparison using % of user base? if you only count user numbers every1 with a mac could get a virus and it wouldn't come any were near a small % of windows users. this data being released is why apple now advises all mac users install 2 virus scans. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

well, i'm not gonna attack anyone or anything. I'm a graphic designer, not a hacker.

that is just one of the reasons most places don't allow them, they can easily be used to affect the page, they can be used to attack PC's, they cause problems with people who don't have flash (yes there are some) and they can add massively to load times.

the fact is they aren't going to allow flash sig's and pretty much no official site does, it's like 99% of them wont even allow you to use HTML and that has a lot less ability than flash.

True, but I'm afraid that is what you are limited to. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
