Everyone knows that "report contacts" button occasionally tells you that nearest friendly battleship is bearing so-and-so, range whatever. Well, as i tried to locate the sinking of the Bismarck, I used that tool. Quote:

"Nearest contact bearing 002, range 2.5 km" Go to UzO, there are no contacts in visual range. Got to within 1 km off the contact. Still nothing. Anyone know if this thing actually works or not, at least occasionally?

If memory serves things like that are pure "Eye Candy".

Let's face it, what happens if you sink KGV & Nelson or Hood before the Battle of the Denmark Straight?

Historical problems. Game wouldn't cope lol

No, it is not "Eye candy". I am using it regularily when hunted by escorts, to ask my sonar man where they are, to keep track of the movements of the nearest one.

What he means is that the radio reports are eye candy. The tracking targets is functional. i've often tried to get to the bismarck, even lingered in the vicinity, but I believe it happens the same way everytime.

I believe in GWX 1.03 thru 2.0?
If you are in the right place at the right time
you can see the historical units.

May not play out true to history because of
game limitations.

But you'd be surprised what you can see.

This is RuB 1.45. I can't run GW mods, even the first one. Weird. I wanted to follow the Bismarck that way...
