View Full Version : Don't be that guy...

Don't ya hate it when your talking a silly thread about silly stuff then some jerk comes in takes it all way to seriously spouts like 5 paragraphs about the subject for no reason. Like just to make controversy, especially when its stuff that everyone knows already? Like just a display of knowledge... I notice it happens a lot here...

Heres an example:

Funny Guy 1: Those crazy Germans what do you think they could've done to win the B o B?

FG2: Well if they had a couple bottles of Scotch and FA-18s?

FG3: The British are unbeatable the Germans will never get past the bad teeth!!!!

THAT GUY: Well actually the Germans probably never could have. There plan was flawed from the start. The Stukas and Ju-88s were getting obsolete and the German bf-109s didn't have enough fuel to cover the bombers long enough over British airspace...blah blah blah...

I just thought I'd point out that a lot of that goes on around here. Some people just need to lighten up. This isn't a jab at Luftwhiners by the way just a general statement.

Well actually, it takes a certain amount of skill to torque up a harmless thread so any anger you feel just shows your own lack of understanding and blah blah blah.

Well... I dont see why you should hate the guy just because he has something serious to say. He has every right to his own opinion. He may not agree with you and you call him a jerk. IRL he may be the pope or something. How would you feel then?

You should know that my IQ is higher than the GNP of a small country and I have a MD BD CPA and BO.

This is also a very general statement that me, as acting president of the AMERI-Whiners, find very offensive.

So, back on topic .... after "lightening up" I read your post again and think that all English people do not have bad teeth. I looked up "bad teeth english" on GOOGLE and it showed less than 530 hits. Averaging that out with the population of England it makes for a very small percentage. Please revise that comment.

Dental surgery in England is a growing profession that all of her countrymen should be proud.

There 5 paragraphs HA! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The British and their teeth... there's a whole forum just waiting to be exploited.
Can you imagine the poor groundcrew having to work on the oxygen masks of the heavy bomber crews after an 8hour operation?

British teeth are highly overmodelled in the game. Oleg should be asked about the Uber-teeth.

English teeth, English Teeth
always having fun,
Chomping down on bits of fish,
and sausages half-done.

English teeth, English teeth
hear them click and clack,
lets sing a song of praise to them,
three cheers for the brown grey and black !

Gen. Mike Jackson, chief of the Brit Army gets my vote for worst set of teeth on a senior English person. Rumour has it he stopped Gen Wesley Clark from attacking the Russians in Kosovo just by smiling at him!

On a more serious note my other half has been mainlining the West Wing on DVD and has developed a crush on the character Josh though he's clearly overmodelled. Anyone else got this problem?

You are **** lucky to be able find a dentist unless you're stinky rich. It's impossible to find an NHS one around here.

Cheers!

It's quite racist to pick at the oral hygiene of one nationality you know. The NHS dental service in England has been in decline for well over a decade now, leaving lower income families and single people without the option of the free dental care that they are entitled to. Indeed there are cases of people whose nearest NHS dental surgery is over 100 miles away. The problem stems from the fact that government payouts to dentists for work done on the NHS can take up to two or three years, making it completely unfeasible for the newly graduated dentists to make a living by doing NHS work, as their practise is likely to go under within the first year. Even with these factors taken into consideration, it's still a sweeping generalisation that all English people have bad teeth, in fact the majority of them don't. There are a few famous examples of British people with bad teeth, but the popular misconception stems more from Austin Powers than blah, blah, blah, blah......

Austin Powers teeth were most definaly over modelledhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I went private to get my wisdom teeth removed rather than wait a few months. Money well spent imo.

Does piss me off that I've paid thousands in NI contributions and payed all my tax and I still have to wait.

The deal is 'access for all to medical care based soley on clinical need.' Nowhere in that is there any suggestion that treatment will occurr at any point in the near future.

Axis agents infiltrated England's ally with orthodontists.

Now say that really quickly. Now drink a half bottle of Scotch and say that really quickly. There you go. That's how it ended.

By the way Woofie Dog, that is a lovely mouth you've got there. I really liked the bit where you brushed your tongue.

Ploughman I was there that day choppers fuelled up, guys kitted up eagerly waiting for a single word to go and fight the Russians €¦ fanatics or ignorant or ignorant fanatics which ever is greater, and how disappointed the lads were it was called off.ha ha
So you think it was jako€s teeth that stopped it? I heard it was the guy in the chubby wagon that called it off

No ****, you were there? Well, **** me from the horses mouth it comes. Tell me more. I was just tremedously suspicious that the C-130 full of very scarey men with guns enroute to Pristina should happen to crash on take-off, thus sparing the Serbs from a western prescence in Kosovo while Russians in BMPs drove all the way from Hungary. I can completely see why the diplomatic (face saving) opition was gone fore, but still...strange how all those Paras showed up only days later, piling out of the back of legions of CH-47s.
