Hello,

could you make this clear to me please?

Are there humans (yes, soldiers) in IL2 forgotten battles?

I remember seeing humans in the original IL2sturmovik. I especially remember seeing humans running away from trucks being bombarded.
I've been unable to spot any human in IL2FB. what am I doing wrong?

thanks
Luca

Thats about the only place there are people. Running from convoys under attack. It still happens...just not all the time.

I see humans running from my airplane everytime I land a little hard and have to bail.

Bad thing is they usually get tired after about 20 yards and face-plant only to be blown to bits when the fuel cell gets a little hot and decides to ignite showering the area with white-hot shrapnel and billowing clouds of burning fuel.

Nope!

We got Klingons and Martians but I'm afraid we don't got no humans.

imagine firing at a train, and seeing people jumping off!
wonder if the new battle of britain (oleg's) will incorporate more humans....

Do you know what? I didn't have a computer of any worth when the original IL2 came out. When I saw ground objects and guys running?!!! This (along with the realistic approach to graphics and handling)really sold me on getting it. So I get a great computer just in time for Il2 FB and now EAP and I love it...but.. I really want more of that activity, more chaos, convoys with people. The towns should have a few people walking around that hide when you "buzz" them.(IMO).

PS.I hear about this add-on "Battle over Europe" and supposedly you can fly over battles (in specific area's) I've read about it. It sounds great but in Canada it's not in retail stores, damn phone lines.

It's the little things - CHEERS.

Im not sure if my logical thinking is correct, but I think the reasons that we dont have ground troops in FB are:

A) It would be hard to do
B) It would cause a crap load of lag/screen stutter

It would be cool to see ground troops on a battlefield, however Im not sure if we ever will

B) is the correct answer, AFAIK.

u know how when u ditch a plane and bail? the pilot jumps out and legs it for about 20 m?

i was in a coop and i downed the plane but he managed to ditch it nex to a river. i saw him bail out so i came in with my zero and gunned him down WHILE he was running. needless to say he died, and i got a nice little "****** was killed" msg http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

the guy i killed wasnt too happy about it tho http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Yea, everybody hates lag...but again making it adjustable for guys with a nice rig would be pretty sweet, even if it only added a couple of guys on the ground...I think anyway.

...nice screenshot above.

PS. anybody know if AEP patches your game to a newer version? I'm a little confused of what version I should have for single (off line) player only...I want to find "Battle over Europe" add-on desparately, but have yet to see it in a store.

Thanks for any help.

AEP is the newest version. if u get it u dont need any updates until a new patch is released.

to check which version ur running, on the very first splash screen down bottom left (i think) there should be a msg in red saying "v1.22" or "v2.0" or watvr version u run. AEP is v2.0 though.
