To break the ice I'll probably soon come after I find some of my online examples of how to efficiently die in shortest time possible. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

You can upload it (quite simple really) on http://www.filefactory.com/ and post download link afterwards so we may comment it...

Oh my... you guys/gals are so shy. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
I promised so here's not one but two.

First is innocent Ju-88 bomb run I just flew on Winds of War server
http://www.filefactory.com/file/e175d6/

Second is frenzy attack of the Petlyakov (I've recorded this one some time ago)... he he staring some regular guys from forum.

For all who think that the 51 cannot hang in this game. Look at this track and tell me how bad it is.

Here is a track of me flying a P-51 NA on Zekes vs Wildcats a few weeks back. It was the first time I actually did well on it... until I got shot down http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Oh btw, sorry I don't have trackIR so deal with it

@ edgflyer well .50cals really wreak havoc vs Japanese planes. Good track. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

@ Heavy_Metal1982 he he really good stuff, I was amazed just how the second Frank didn't manoeuver or something after you've set his buddy on fire.
Anyhow for the n-th time it is proven: Pony is not really good against defended (with AA) ground targets due to vulnerable engine.

Also I have two more tracks, one from full_difficulty (rnzoli's first automated COOP server, I just flew that one) and one from Warclouds that I flew yesterday.
Watch that Ju-87 (from WC) and try to crash as elegantly as I did there. Ha! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Kuna,
Out of couriosity, what was the skin on the 51 I was flying? Does Ntrack capture a custom skin job? I amde the track to prove the 51 is a great plane to fly against any advaseary. I choose the Zero because of its manuverability and the 51 was able to hang with it.

Kuna_

Yes, NRTK captures custom skins, for pilot *and* plane.
TRK does not...

Just for fun, check your ...\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\PaintSchemes\NetCache folder. If you fly online or watch other people's NRTKs, that is the place where their skins (if they fly with custom skins) will be stored.

I just watched your track three times. That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Your plane sure did look stable. Would you mind to post your stick settings? I would like very much to try them.

I assume you were using trackIR? It looks like it... I don't have one yet but if that's what you had I am about convinced to buy one.

Also--- I noticed early on you were using the gyro gunsight but then switched back. Do you like the regular one better?

Don't know if I have this figured out yet or not, but here's a link:

I'm in the Oscar, playing decoy to some Betties being escorted by Ccrashh in another Oscar. Track is courtesy of Faust. One of the most fun fights I've ever had, though I don't care much for how it ended.

I use a CH Fighter Stick Pro (I modded it by adding tighter spring tension. If tighter springs are not availible, you can use thick rubber bands to stiffen up the stick if you do not like it so wimpy. Open the bottom and you will see where to put them.) Either way the settings work the same.

Saitek x52 Throttle
CH Pro pedals

Yes on the track IR. Track IR Pro 3. When you use TIR for the first time, it will take you about 2 weeks to get used to it. But once you are used to it you will never go back.

As far as the gyro sight, I am trying to learn how to use it. I find I can get on my target faster with out it, but I do miss more not using it. So I am still practicing with it because it realy does make a difference.

If you have a program called IL2 Sticks (follow this link http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/files/essentials/IL2-Sticks1.0hBeta.zip) Use this to set your stick settings. PM me and I can email you my config file for this progam. that will put my settings right into your game.

Thanks for the comments.

I have a habit to name a track in following way:

track version-online server-username+plane_other description

So it look like (for example)
405-wc-kunap47_2groundkills (WarClouds server)
405-fd-orkanspit9_vs_2xbf109g (full_difficulty server)

etc.
I find that the only way to succesfully manage tracks... I have many of them and I enjoy watching them.

I'm on 128Mbps dsl connection. Recording usually under LAN settings (unless server dictates other recording 'speed'). More 'speed' always have better recording results, although tracks recorded under lower settings aren't bad either.
The only bad thing is lag... shooting at thin air'n stuff.

Also I was lucky enough to release the bomb ordnance few seconds earlier, otherwise I think that Stuka would have exploded in my ditch attempt.

Chaika vs 109's, "Cat and mouse" online track that makes me giggle everytime I watch it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Best to be watched from the outside view, because viewswitching is very quick (head on a swivel etc.)

He he this has to be considered as one of the best online tracks. Ever. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And the bonus is that the track was recorded under FB (game version 2.04 or below).
I can see that judging by the sound of Bf-109s, they sound differently compared to PF Bf-109s.

Thanks Henkie for sharing.

The track was taken on Zekes vs. Wildcats. It was formerly BM357_Faust (now Faust) who ran the track.

I wasn't sure my link would work. Since you liked that one, I'll try to up-load a couple more later. Thanks for the compliment on my flying!

Here's a track of a fight between myself and St. Alphonso. Once again, I'm in Oscar #98 on Zekes vs. Wildcats. This was taken before I had Track IR, so I'm using hatswitch and number pad to look around. It goes to show, while TIR is an advantage, it isn't a necessity to fly on-line.

This is one of the best 1v1 fights I've ever had (the other Oscar was pretty much an observer throught this, though he did take a pot-shot or two). If you ever find yourself flying against Alphonso, better keep on your toes.

http://www.filefactory.com/file/00f946/ He he I was wondering where have you been... can you please upload your P-51D track when you destroyed two (I believe Antons) and damaged one FW-190D? Now that was some flying. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
You sent me that track some time ago, but I lost it...

And BTW I wasn't so happy when you shot me down two days ago in Warclouds http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif , things were going quite well and then you came up with Mustang behind my FW-190... funny thing, you were able to sneak up on me on I believe 200m range dead 6, and I've spotted you by your shadow!!!
I wondered how come my plane produces two shadows and I'm not drunk? lol

Anyhow I've succesfully ditched and more than happy to live... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

On WC in FW-190D I fear nothing except Mustang and Tempest. I agree Mustang is very underrated plane, and if it wasn't for Spitfires who eat all .50cal 'leftovers' (read=badly shot up planes) people would fly it more I believe.

Speed is everything.

I have a couple that I've kept around for one reason or another. I'll see if I can dig them up.

I wish I recorded tracks more regularly. They're great for viewing later and reviewing everything else that was going on around me. It just seems all the sorties I would like to watch I forget to record... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Cutscene from an attack by a BnZ-ing 109G2 that I thought was interesting. Looked funny from external view from perspective: G2 towards spitVb. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif A barrel around the G2's flightpath.

When you play from the cockpit, sometimes you don't realize what it looks like from the outside.

It seems that is everything in order with filefront now.
I watched your Spit5 track Henkie. That's about perfect evading barell roll, Bf-109 practically does not have any chance to hit.

About my h4x tracks, well they are certainly h4xxored except Arado track. How that can be done don't ask me. I've just collected them.http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Now the right question is whather this can or cannot be done online? I hope not.

Thunderbolt56 when you find some time share some of your favourite tracks with us http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. You can do that on www.file.sc (http://www.file.sc) or www.filefront.com (http://www.filefront.com) , although there are many other sites with the same function .

Heres an annoying one from Zeke's with good teamwork, until a bleeping muppet decides to 'buzz' me as im returning to base. I only heard an engine closing in fast so i did an evasive maneouver, a bunt. The clown crashes into me. See his brilliant comment that i need glasses. Well someone should tell the freaking genious that you cant see a bogey on your low six in Wildcat.

Take that as a lesson kids, there is NO reason to 'buzz' a friendly at any point or at any time. It is annoying and its even more annoying if it leads to a collision. It ruined the otherwise fun evening i had. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Now B that's some seriously good flying. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif
I liked the evasive barell roll vs. P-47 on your tail.

TBH it's quite weird seeing myself from your perspective http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. Thanks for saving me anyway, because that Tempest would have killed me for sure. I'd probably never have the chance to bail out.
I never realized that I'm not that badly hit, I thought that my wurger has been dewinged or something after going to a stall for no apparent reason. Yes Tempest scored some hits on me, but they for sure weren't mortal.
But after hearing Hispanos knocking on my door I instantly wanted to get out, so...
So I pressed CTRL+E. Anyhow after I calmed down my bird from stall then I've elegantly jump off. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
