I was unaware that many of the team that created AC was gone, until I read this article. What does this spell for AC next? I'm not really concerned with the very next game, but will there be another after that, and if so will it be any good? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

The PoP team moved to AC, and now the AC team aka ex-PoP team moves to something else. Same things.

Hmm, can't say I'm too happy with this news. Can't recall one game franchise that managed to keep innovating itself after part of its original team left (Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft just to name a few)

pop? not sure what that is, and now i'm worried, but then again, a new team brings new eyes to the table, so they might change it for the good. but they better not make it all Desmond.

PoP, Prince of persia.
Most of the team working on PoP, went to work on AC.
When they left PoP went crap. hope the same doesn't happen to AC.

Then again, i'm not sure, but i don't think most of them worked on AC1.
So maybe this isn't a bad thing.

The Two Thrones was rushed and then they moved on to AC.

The Forgotten Sands was a failed attempt at making a game similar to the SoT series with a different team.

Why leave AC when AC III is the last Main Game?

in fact we have the same game since AC1, they are just adding stuff to the graphics engine and the gameplay, create new levels (within the boudaries of what they have, i.e. an open world and several traditional levels like the tombs/lairs), advance the story, …

AC1 is still a great game so if they manage to create innovative levels, refine the gameplay (maybe more than the “very easy” difficulty setiing), i’m fine.

This worries me, I wonder what the ex-AC team is working on now. I'd be interested in their future projects.

If i were to make a guess, the majority of the development team will probably moves on to others games like Splinter Cell, Thief or even maybe Prince of Persia. These games all have in common with one of AC's element--stealth. So i wouldn't be shock if that were to happen.

Just a just. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

AC elements came from PoP anyway.

Yea it is possible that it could "ruin" the game. but it is also possilbe it could make the game better. You never know, lets just hope it makes the game better http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
