Just received an e-mail from Amazon, with an apology, stating that PF release date had been pushed back to Nov 9th. Sounds good to me, I thought is was the 11th.

I got the same email as well:

Greetings from Amazon.com.

sorry to report that the official release date has been pushed back
to 11/09/2004.

We have left your order in place and will ship this title to you as
soon as it becomes available, but we will certainly understand if you
wish to cancel the item from your order.

You may cancel any unshipped items yourself by clicking on "Your

says "Cancel orders that have not yet entered the shipping process."
Next, enter your e-mail address and password to access the "Order
History" page. Here, you will be able to cancel your order for any
item that has not yet entered the shipping process.

Again we apologize for the delay with this title.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.

yeah still 22nd okt release dates here in europe. On amazon.uk and at my usual game store they have 22nd okt.

Hehe wonder what the americans will think if europe will get a release 2 weeks before them!.
They will be soo Pi""ed,that would infact be cool, since americans always gets the games before the europeans.

Honestly, I think...so what!

I have a perfectly working game in FB:AEP that hasn't gotten cold yet. That should keep me busy until November 9th. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Hi all

I've ask UBISOFT france
Except if in the very last time we have a change (i think not.. and hope not!)

the day is alway October 21 04 .

The light change in date for retailer may be caused by shipping.. so you can find PF few days after 21.. but seem strange.. retailers must have it before the official date.

But it's important? one day Late or 8 dayt late the game will be good as on the first day http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Thanks for that, I've always wondered where all the the computer assisted nuclear bombers piloted by 'gonna be' astronauts came from.

I'm still debating with myself whether to simply pre-order the thing from Amazon or just pick it up the day it hits the store shelves. Basically my priority is getting Pacific Fighters ASAP, and I'm unsure of which would be faster.

Well, I'm [not entirely] excited to say that I've seen widescreen (3x) screenshots that indicate that this add-on is already circulating somewhere it shouldn't be. Guess the rest of us will just wait until it hits store shelves, huh?

Weheeey. It says on the IL 2 FB/PF home page that the release date is October 22nd!!! That's actually less than 2 weeks. Hooray.

Haven't any of you learned your lesson about pre-ordering games by mail. There was so much wanking on the forum when "aces" came out. In some cases, the folks who pre-ordered had to wait more than a week after the game was on store shelves to receive their copy.

Fear not. We selfless Brits'll do as much testing as we possibly can so you get the bug free product you deserve on the 9th of November.

I'm a little confused now, seeing as on the main site the 22nd is promoted as the release date. Does this mean for US too now?

I really hope so, even though I'm european. It's more fun when more people can get together to enjoy the new goodies! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

S!

EDIT: I'm stupid, saw the "europeans only" note late. Forgive me. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Test it out on the Europeans first.

Patch it and sell it in the U.S. as a complete package.

I'm in no hurry.
